Jiangtao Li is an Associate Professor at the School of Earth and Space Science and Technology, Wuhan University. He leads Li Lab of Seismology and supervises PhD and master’s students.
His research focuses on seismic tomography, joint and integrated geophysical inversion, crustal anisotropy, attenuation imaging, seismic wavefield modeling, tectonic interpretation, earthquake hazards, temporal changes in the subsurface, and machine learning applications in seismology.

Research experience
He was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2018 to 2019. He joined Wuhan University’s School of Geodesy and Geomatics in 2019 and moved to the School of Earth and Space Science and Technology in December 2024.
